I've got some time most days of the week, to be frank. Most of my work has been taking place at home, nowadays.

[And by 'work' he means 'unpaid tinkering'.]

Well, in that case, I don't mind keeping you company. I'll swing on by whenever you could use another friendly face and nimble fingers.

A friend of mine is missing his hand. He has it so he can attach a chainsaw to it and a fake, wooden hand. I was wondering if you could possibly make something that's usable? Even without the same fine motorskills, anything that could work more than deadweight would be ideal. [ She pauses, since she's sure he'd like to see his handiwork (heh) in action, but she's not sure how honest she wants to be. ] He's gone now, on the Wall of Names and all. But if he comes back, I'd like this to be waiting for him.

I can manage that! Yes! It ought to be a simple task, challenging in its own ways. [Simple things can totally be challenging, okay.] ... Or. Well... There is one problem. Such a thing would have to fit perfectly, and so I would need measurements of his- err- what's left of his wrist. Or his arm.

Trial-and-error, right? Would an approximation be alright and adjustments be made if he were to return? I mean, I'll pay you regardless and if it's too big or too small it just means I'll commission you again. Practice making perfect? I've done that before with a friend from home so...

Hmmmm... I suppose so. A memory still doesn't provide accurate measurements, but if I construct something which allows for a bit of adjustment, it ought to be fine.

[He definitely knows that someone can show memories of friends from back home. Naruhodou did the same thing to him a while ago. It was... jarring.]
