I'm sure you could have spared an hour. [He runs a hand behind his neck. He wondered if Holmes ever made time in partaking in those kinds of events, or interest.] ...I learned something while I was there, about my family.

[Sherlock could've spared an hour, but he'd been so wrapped up in his experiment that the festival kind of went over his head. Alas.

Naruhodou's words are a bit puzzling to him. He makes a move with his hand as if to push his cap back, only to remember that he isn't wearing it right now. Yup, he's really out of it at the moment.]

Your family? I thought this place holds no records of our own world?

No, but the people who come here from our world do. [He leans up against the wall.]

There are people here, from our future, a very far future. Have you met someone here named Phoenix Wright? [And not the omnibus of the same name.]

[Thankfully, Sherlock doesn't remember the omnibus at all. He wasn't involved with that case one bit- not until the omnibus itself became irrelevant, anyway. Still, Phoenix Wright... Phoenix Wright...]

Hmmmm... I can't say that I have. [Except that he has, he just doesn't remember it.] Though, I am familiar with a Trucy Wright.

Heh, well she is his daughter so close enough...and technically she's family to me. It turns out her father is one of my descendants, over a hundred years in our future! Can you believe that? Well maybe you can, considering the world we're in right now.

[The hall seems to brighten as Naruhodou talks rather excitedly about this, which is a rare sight when it comes to him.] I just...had a feeling before he even told me. It had to be more than just coincidence that his name was the same one that came up in one of my previous cases. [He frowns.] ...But who would want to name someone after an omnibus? [Of all things, and the scene of two murders.]

[Something stirs in the back of Sherlock's head, at this point. Some vague memory about bumping into a fellow wearing a blue suit, who'd seemed oddly familiar despite not being so physically familiar at all.]

Over a hundred years in the future, you say? That must make him a great, great grandson of sorts, then! Fascinating! To think, you would have descendants...! [That came out worse than it sounded in his head, though he doesn't quite realize it.]

[Once the moment's pause is over, Sherlock bursts into loud, booming laughter. The lights glow brighter and mysterious sparkles seem to dance through the air for a good ten seconds.]

Haaa ha ha ha haa! Of course it is, Mr. Naruhodou!

I-It's not, really. [Ok, take a deep breath, and start over.]

I just never thought that far ahead, I'm still trying just not to lose my life before I graduate.

[Sherlock would've pointed out that marriage isn't exactly necessary to produce descendants, but... Hey, let's not ruin Naruhodou's delightful purity.

[The lights starts to flicker as the area warms up. Holmes has gotten him flustered, though that was never a hard thing to do.]

That makes no difference. Someone must've come directly after you in order to spawn Mr. Wright further down the line. Have you thought about where you'll be raising your child, Mr. Naruhodou? London has an abundance of capable nannies.

I'll start considering when I actually get there. Because I'm certain I won't have to worry about that while I'm still here. [He let's out a sigh as he moves away from the wall he had been leaning against] Right now, I'm going to go and take a shower. [And wonder if he should have said anything to Holmes in the first place.]

[Yes alright, but there are nannies (and racist people) inside said smog, so Sherlock's point stands.

He shrugs lightly, then taps a finger against his forehead.]

Whatever you say, Mr. Naruhodou. Just remember, don't lay a hand on my little experiment. I've no idea how the dye might affect human skin.
