[Good grief, Naruhodou, sometimes you fail as an assistant. Watson would understand why it's relevant. His enthusiasm dims down somewhat, as do the lights in the room, but Sherlock rambles on like a wiseass regardless.]

Come now, Mister Naruhodou, put that brain of yours to good work. When would it be interesting to know where a soil sample originally hailed from?

[Alas, he is no doctor or a geologist. Of course he wouldn't think so deeply about such things. It doesn't help the tiredness he was feeling earlier wasn't getting any better. He may just fall asleep at any point.]

Um, well...I suppose knowing where would benefit farmers or locating fertile land for settlement.

No no no! It's when you encounter a soil sample on a piece of evidence, or even a person! Knowledge of the origin of that soil could be the vital clue used to crack any case!
